She looks like she may be from the same breeder as Ida or at least related, and it's in the same area too. I'll contact her and ask if she may be from one of her past litters.

EDIT: The add was posted 22 days ago. The chances of her still being available are slim to none. :(

    yikes

yeah that ad is highly strange...allergies? really, why wouldn't they contact a rescue, or perhaps the breeder. They didn't DESERVE a sheltie!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. I don't know if it's a Texas thing, southern thing, or just an all around people thing. But many people I've known put humans WAY before the dog. Ya, humans should be, but not to the extent were the dog is punished for simply existing.

Seriously!! At 1 year old? How long does it take to figure out she had allergies? Could have taken her back wherever they got her. Nothing from them yet.. She is probably gone :(

    don't buy it

exactly...I have dealt with allergies ALL my life, and severe ones, and I can attest that shelties have NEVER been a breathing issue or heightened my allergies, it would have come up immediately...doesn't work as the excuse. Maybe a TX thing, because I descend from Celtic Southern Plantation stock, and all my kin absolutely dotted on their pets as family mbrs in equal or greater standing to outsiders, ha.

I think I see it more with cats than I do dogs.
