    bad fur days

I think at 5 mths mine went from being leggy into the bad fur days, where it looked unkempt, unruly, different lengths turning every which way. To me that was the time I laughed daily. Savannah's back end was curling like a perm gone bad. Her head still doesn't fit her body, but I am hopeful, as her snout/nose area is elongating now. Her parents are cute...I can't believe she will not get there. And Kaleigh, is my glossy beauty babe. :biggrin2:

Oh for sure... As you have already read. But an interesting point on my Callan....I don't think hecreally seemed to go through that phase. He seemed to go from puppy to adult overnight..... Uuuhm. Must review pictures.

Oh definitely the ugly phase of a Sheltie. Leggy, no coat, ears flying up and down. We should all hide our Shelties at this age !!!! Else none else would get one! :hide

But it's like the ugly duckling that turns into a swan. Truly!

Addie isn't quite 5 months old yet (4 months, 20 something days). She is 11.5 inches tall, and about 7.3 pounds. She is very tiny! She never really hit the coyote stage I don't think? In some ways, I think she is off on milestones, but right on on some others. I took her to see the breeder not so long ago (to try and glue her ears) and was told back then that she was the size of an 8 week old puppy (she was around 15 weeks then, maybe 16 weeks). She had a poofball coat when she came home but it turned sleek after that. I think she has most of her guard hair all along her back already, and its going down her sides. She's lost all her front teeth (incisors?)

I am dizzy and slightly shaky looking at all the cuties!!! I LOVE the coyote stage, in all its fuzzy, skinny, akwardness! :)

    so sweet looking

what a cutie....at 6 mths Savannah was only 10 lbs...now coming up on 9 mths, she is barely 11 lbs...so she is my smaller one, and we all thought she would be the bigger of my two. I am still thinking she might blossom a bit more in the next few mths, because after being spayed she is ravenous, whereas before eating wasn't that interesting to her. Now mealtime is serious to her, ha..

I think the one where she is with Mindy is cute...what a view they have:razz:
